Voice Communication Solution for Cooper Safety Fire Systems
Cooper Safety Fire Systems, a business unit of Cooper Safety, has acquired the Public Address and Voice Alarm assets from Current Thinking. Current Thinking is based in Sunderland, UK, and specializes in products for legislative markets, including Voice Alarm, Fire Telephone and Disabled Refuge systems, Induction Loops and Disabled Call systems.
“These voice communication products will be a strategic addition to our product portfolio,” said Brian Walder, Managing Director of Cooper Fire. “They will enable us to develop a fully integrated voice alarm system which will be submitted for approval to both EN and UL standards during 2012.”
The integration of the manufacturing of voice communication products into the Doncaster facility is now complete, and a new office has been set up in the Sunderland area for the key personnel from the Current Thinking organisation. The priorities over the next few months for the Product Management team are to launch the VoCALL product range and a new design of the Emergency Assistance Alarm kit under the Cooper branding to Electrical Distribution in the UK and to export markets.
Cooper Fire now has capability in place to design, quote and manufacture an immediate solution for projects requiring a PA/VA system.
